As far as Corollas go, it was better than the car it replaced (by far) and also was better than the car that replaced it.

My mom had a 5 speed & it had the worst throttle & gearing combination of anything I’ve driven.  I spent ages wishing we got euro hatchback Corollas.

It was replaced last year by a CVT Crosstrek.

It got scrapped after the accident last year when I got t boned by a work van that ran a red at 50. She’s gone.
